Transcript

8 Stage of Academic Poster Presentations 1 - Pride It's amazing! I think I might even glitter the text! 2 - Nerves The session has been open 10 minutes and nobody has come to see me yet. Oh no oh no oh no oh no. 3 - Enthusiasm Hi there, do you have a minute to hear about my entire PhD? I might even show you a graph I made. You can spare a while, right? 4 - Boredom Ugh, my back hurts. Maybe I could take a nap? I guess I should at least pretend to read my poster. 5 - Passive Aggression Huh, so nobody wants to talk to me. Well I didn't want to talk to them anyway. I hope they all fail their PhDs. 6 - Aggression Stop reading that one! It's obviously rubbish. Look at mine instead. How long this session is. 7 - Pleading Pleeeeease read my poster! I worked so hard on this. 8 - Acceptance I guess it's poster time.
